This list has grown large enough that I’ve decided to split it in half. This page contains all of the non-chain independent restaurants in New Jersey that offer a gluten free menu (or gluten friendly) or note clearly on their website how they deal with diners who require a gluten free meal. (There may be one or two that fit neither of these criteria but in these cases I or someone I know has personally visited the restaurant and reported back.) I have excluded any restaurant that does not appear to be able to handle dairy free as well (this only excluded only one restaurant and any pizzeria that only has gluten free crust). Where I couldn’t tell from the menu I listed a warning about dairy free.
I have not linked directly to the menus so that if the restaurant's website is re-arranged it won't kill the link. You can click on the restaurant name to be taken to their website.
GFRAP denotes a restaurant that is part of the Gluten Intolerance Group's Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program and NFCA-GREAT denotes a restaurant that is part of the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness' Gluten Free Resource Education and Awareness Training.
I have also add a map of all of these NJ Gluten Free Restaurants to the bottom of the list. For now it also contains off of the stores and all of the bakeries. I will be adding some of the smaller chains sometime soon (assuming they have true gluten free options and aren't just gluten friendly).

Single Location Restaurants:
6 Brothers Diner (475 Route 46E, Little Falls, NJ 07424) – they have a gluten free menu but it is not online. I stopped in late on a Tuesday evening when they would be less busy and the waitstaff had very little GF knowledge and even less interest in being helpful. Most of my dairy free questions went unanswered.
Alfonso's (99-101 West Main Street, Somerville, NJ 08876) - They have GF pizza, pasta, meatballs, and bread crumbs. A little tough on dairy free as most sauces, entrees and the meatballs all had dairy, but options included chicken or eggplant parm sans cheese, chicken fingers, or pasta with marinara sauce. I also like that they flag items with nuts on their menu.
Aliperti's (1189 Raritan Road, Clark, NJ 07066) They have GF pasta and a couple of grilled items. One of NJ's first Gluten Free restaurants. I've never been. GFRAP.
Anna’s Ristorante (67 Union Place, Summit, NJ 07901) – has a separate gluten free menu with gluten free pasta, gluten friendly entrees, and gf pizza. I haven’t been yet.
Antoinetta's Restaurant (523 Cedar Run Dock Rd, West Creek, NJ 08092) - They have a gluten free menu with limited dairy free options. I have never been.
Ariel's (18 Engle Street, Englewood, NJ 07631) - I've never been here. On their website, items that are GF are marked with a star on their menu. Since they are a Kosher restaurant they should know exactly what is dairy free as well.
Arlene’s on Asbury (624 Asbury Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226) - has gluten free bread and gluten free wraps for sandwiches (unknown other allergens). I've never been.
Artisan's (1171 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753) - I've never been. They have a GF menu on their website that lists the things they can modify to be GF. They also list GF pasta for +$2.50.
Backyard Bistro (732 Jefferson, Hoboken, NJ 07030) - I have never been; the only GF item on their menu is Gluten Free linguini for an extra $3. They no longer have a website.
Bangkok Kitchen (391 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006). They flag almost everything on their online menu with a GF if it can be prepared gluten free which leaves about four items that cannot. The in-restaurant menus are not flagged however so be sure to mention you need gluten free as some items that are flagged online are not naturally gf and need to be slightly modified. Bashful Banana Bakery & Cafe (946 Boardwalk on Ocean Colony Walk (between 9th & 10th), Ocean City, NJ 08226) They’ve got quite a few vegan options and will substitute gluten free bread (other allergens unknown) for $.75 more. They also have gluten free/vegan muffins. I’ve never been.
Bella Vida Garden Cafe (406 N. Broadway, West Cape May, NJ 08204, Bella Vida at the Beach, Ocean & Buttercup, Wildwood Crest, NJ 08260) – the Cape May location has GF pasta, rice non-dairy cheese and/or GF bread for $3 more. The Wildwood Crest location only has GF bread for $2.50 more. Emailed them to determine if the bread contains dairy and never heard back.
The Bellevue Tavern (7-9 S. Main Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210) They have a gluten friendly menu with directions for modifying dishes to be gluten free (grill chicken instead of breaded, served over rice instead of pasta, etc.)
Belzano (3495 Route 1 South, Princeton, NJ 08540 and 1060 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Brick, NJ 08723) - they have a GF menu that includes pizza, pasta, and panini's? I'm not sure on other allergens in the pizza/panini's. I have never been.
Biagio's (299 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652) I haven't been here since they started serving gluten free. Their website mentions GF pasta and GF pizza crust.
Bibi'z (284 Center Ave, Westwood, NJ 07675) - they don't have their GF menu online but they have a menu that flags both Vegan and Gluten Free items. I hope to try this restaurant soon.
Biddy O'Malleys (191 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ 07647) – flags GF on their menu. Has eight menu items that are naturally gluten free and many others that they can modify to be so. Everyone I've spoken to who's eaten here raves about it. I just ate here tonight and it is great. DF required a little extra work but well worth it. Review coming soon.
Bona Vita Osteria (37 Maple Street, Summit, NJ 07901) – they list gluten free pasta on their website.
Bongo Cafe & Grill (1050 Bay Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226) – They have Food for Life bread as well as soy cheese. I’ve never been.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (One Borgata Way, Atlantic City, NJ 08401) – they've added gluten free menus to a number of their restaurants: izakaya, Fornelletto, The Metropolitan, Bobby Flay Steakhouse, Roma, and N.O.W. (Note: a hand-full of their other restaurants can accommodate but don't have specific gluten free menus.)
Brazzi Brick Oven Pizza (601 Route 72 East, Manahawkin, NJ 08050) – they have gluten free pizza (unknown other allergens) and pasta ($4.95 more). I’ve never been.
The British Chip Shop (146 Kings Hwy East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033) They have GF bread (not sure on other allergens) and they flag both Gluten Free and Vegan on their menu. Sadly, there are no GF or vegan pastries! I haven’t been here yet.
Buckalews (101 North Bay Avenue, Beach Haven, NJ 08008) – they have gluten free pasta and pizza and a couple of vegan options. I have never been.
Buds and Bowls (2691 Main Street, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648) – A florist/cafe (yes you read that correctly) who's menu is entirely gluten free (although gluten containing bread and rolls are available for wheat eaters). Their menu changes daily. They have both gluten free buns (dairy free, by Schär) and homemade gluten free bread (contains dairy). I haven't been yet.
Buono Bagels (885 Route 17S, Ramsey, NJ 07446) – I stopped by this bagel shop on a tip from my brother. They have a handful of GF snacks (chips, kind bars) and Tate Gluten Free Cookies (contain dairy). They also have Foods by George English Muffins (dairy free), as well as Corn and Blueberry Muffins (both contain dairy). They were out of the English Muffins when I was there and they were busy so we didn’t get into cross contamination. (They also have Foods by George brownies but they only sell them by the full tray!) I don’t know if I’d make a special trip but if everyone else were getting bagels . . .
Calabri Restaurant and Pizzeria (588 South Livingston Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039) - One of the earliest restaurants with a gluten free menu in NJ. They have a good sized GF menu.
Calandra’s Mediterranean Grill (Hampton Inn, 118-124 Route 46E, Fairfield, NJ 07044). I just ate here recently for the first time since going gluten free and it was really good - review to come shortly. They have both GF pasta and GF pizza as well as a number of naturally GF entrees.
Calandra’s Village / Il Vecchio Cafe (234 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006). They have both GF pizza and GF pasta. I’ve never eaten here.
Carlo's Goumet (326 Rt 9N, Marlboro, NJ 07726) - They post their brands on their GF menu. They have GF pasta, chicken tenders (Bell & Evans), pizza crust (Still Riding) and a couple of Gluten Friendly entrees (I had grilled chicken marsala over GF pasta when I was there). For those who aren't dairy free they have Grainless Baker baked goods and Conte's Raviolis. [Note - they have another location in Manalapan, but it does not have a gluten free menu.] GFRAP.
Carlucci’s Grill (335 Princeton-Hightstown Road, West Windsor, NJ 08561) – the gluten free menu has pizza and pasta as well as a long list of gluten friendly entrees. This is a small chain of six restaurants (2 in NJ, 4 in PA) but only two of them list a GF menu on their section of their website, this location in West Windsor and the Carlucci’s Grill in Yardley, PA.
Casa Turano (660 Passaic Avenue, Nutley, NJ 07110) - they don't have a website but their menu is here: http://www.nutleymenus.com/restaurantmenus/casaturano.php They have gluten free pasta for $1 more.
Casona (563 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108) “Cuban & Nuevo Latin Cuisine” - I have never been but their Gluten Free menu is extensive!
Castalia 997 (997 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ 07424) – has gluten free pasta and gluten free bread crumbs. According to friends they are very accommodating.
Chimney Rock Inn (342 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ 07933 and 800 North Thompson Avenue, Bridgewater, NJ 08805) - I ate here before they put together their menu but at the time they were very accommodating. They have Gluten Free pasta and pizza every day, but each restaurant also has a night where they have an extended GF menu.
China Sea of Absecon (662 White Horse Pike, Absecon, NJ 08201) - They have a pretty extensive gluten free chinese menu. There are no notes on how they make it gluten free (grilled vs. breaded with something else). I have never been.
Cielo (168 Passaic Avenue, Fairfield, NJ 07004) – has gluten free pasta for $2 more. I haven’t been yet.
Crust and Crumble (658 Cookman Avenue (or 633 Lake Avenue), Asbury Park, NJ 07712) – has both gluten free pizza and dairy free cheese for said pizza!
De Marco’s Pizza (1926 Union Valley Road, Hewitt, NJ 07421) – has GF Pizza and GF pasta only.
Double S Diner (Rt23, Wantage area) - to re-open in summer of 2012.
Drew's Bay Shore Bistro (28 East Front Street, Keyport, NJ 07735) – Menu notes: G = GF naturally and G* = can be made GF. They use a lot of butter which might be a little tough for those of us who are dairy free. I haven't been yet.
Due Mari Pesce E Vinoteca (78 Albany Street New Brunswick, NJ 08901) – offers Gluten Free Pasta. I’ve never been.
Edison Pizza Restaurant (2303 Woodbridge Ave, Edison, NJ 08817) – small GF selection, GF penne, or 3 types of parmagean. It appears from their website that no sides of GF pasta are served.
Europa South (521 Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742) - GF items on their menu have a GF in front of them. They appear accommodating on other allergies as well. I had a great meal here: Europa South Review. GFRAP.
Filomena Cucina Rustica Italiana Caffe & Bar (13 Cross Keys Road, West Berlin, NJ 08091) – They have a Gluten Free/Vegetarian menu (both options are on the same menu, not all are both). This includes gluten free pizza, pasta, and ravioli.
Forte (182 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006) – has GF pasta upon request. [Note: they also have a location at 485 Rt10W in Randolph, NJ 07869 but there is no online menu for that location.]
Go Lightly (4 South Fullerton Str, Montclair, NJ 07042) - There isn't much information on their website but they serve vegan icecream. When I was there all but one flavor was gluten free. The salesgirl offered to clean the serving spoon before starting. I also now here rumors that they are offering sandwiches on vegan bread, one option of which is gluten free.
Good Karma Café (17 East Front Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701) - closed Sundays. This fully vegan restaurant *’s items on their menu that are gluten free. See my review here: Gluten Free at Good Karma Cafe in Red Bank, NJ
Gourmet Café Italian Bistro (136 Baldwin Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054) – they flag their menu for items that are naturally gluten free as well as those that can be modified to be gluten free. Only GF Pasta selection is a GF Spinach Ravioli (which I doubt is DF!). I haven’t been yet.
The Grain House Restaurant (225 Route 202, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920) – I usually would shy away from a restaurant with the word “grain” in its name but they flag the gluten free items on their menu and that ends up being almost half of everything listed!
Greenhouse Cafe (Corner of 6th Street & Long Beach Blvd, Ship Bottom, NJ 08008) - I have never been but they appear to have quite the menu including: pizza pasta, rolls, pancakes, etc. Not sure on other allergens but they seem really up on healthy eating.
Harrah’s Resort (777 Harrah’s Boulevard, Atlantic City, NJ 08401) 7 eateries at Harrah’s have been certified via the GREAT program. These are Bill's Bar & Burger, the Diamond Club, Dos Caminos, Luke Palladino, Sammy D's, The SteakHouse, and the Waterfront Buffet. Unfortunately, all this means is that their staff has been trained to deal with gluten free diners. As of yet, none of the seven have created a gluten free menu, nor have they posted the specifics of how they accommodate.
Hunan Gourmet (357 Route 9S, Manalapan, NJ 07726) – They have an extensive gluten free menu but it includes items that are labeled as ‘battered’, are in a soy ginger sauce, or are in a brown sauce. They don’t denote how these items are gluten free and they list other items as being without soy sauce so I’d be sure to double check everything with the staff.
Il Capriccio Ristorante (7 West Main Street, Mendam, NJ 07981) - They have multiple types of Gluten Free pasta. I have never been.
Il Vecchio Cafe – see Caladra’s Village/Il Vecchio Café above.
Inde Blue (619 Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08107) – both gluten free (GF) and vegan (V) items are marked as such on their menu, unless the entire section is gluten free in which case it is noted under the category heading. I’d guess 90% of the menu is gluten free. I haven’t been yet.
Janice's (23 Sheridan Avenue, Hohokus, NJ 07423) - I'm hesitant to provide a link to their menu, as the real treat here are the specials. Janice's has a long list of specials every night (I assume whatever they could get fresh at the market that morning!) If you go for breakfast or lunch they have gluten free bread (but not dairy free) and their gluten free fries are fried in a dedicated fryer. Jefferson Diner (5 Bowling Green Parkway, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849) - has very brief, combined gluten free / vegetarian menu and not all of the vegetarian items on it are gluten free.
Kind Burgers (coming soon) (1064 Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright, NJ 07760) – pre-opening articles promise gluten free fries and gf/df buns.
La Bottega (14 Oak Street, Ridgewood, NJ 07450) – offers gluten free soups, salads and panini’s (panini’s $2.50 more). Menu items have small gluten free symbol on them. WARNING: Panini’s made with bread that contains dairy.
(CLOSED) La Piazza Trattoria (101 Newark Pompton Turnpike[23 South], Little Falls, NJ 07424) - This restaurant has closed, but has re-opened under the name Riverside Brick Oven Pizza & Cafe in Garfield (see below). The Italian restaurant that moved into their old Little Falls location is decidedly NOT gluten free.
La Riviera Trattoria (421 Piaget Ave [Rt.46E], Clifton, NJ 07011) - An amazing Italian restaurant with a good gluten free selection. When you go, be sure to get yourself on their gluten free mailing list as they have already held three gluten free only evenings at the restaurant. Los Amigos (461 Rt 73 N, West Berlin, NJ 08091 and 1926 Atlantic Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08400) – both locations have an extensive gluten free menu but sadly their fried gf items are not fried in a dedicated fryer. I haven’t been.
Lovin' Oven (62A Trenton Ave [Rt.29], Frenchtown, NJ 08825) – Has GF(gluten free) and V (vegan) marked on their menu. Haven't been there yet but a quick warning, they only take cash.
Lucky Bone's Backwater Grille (1200 Rt 109, Cape May, NJ 08204) - A good sized gluten free menu including gluten free rolls for their sandwiches. I'm not sure if they are dairy free or not, I emailed them over a week ago but haven't heard back. I haven't been here yet.
The Mad Batter (19 Jackson Street, Cape May, NJ 08204) – Quite a few of their menu items are flagged gluten free and there are even a couple of vegan options. I haven’t been yet.
The Mad Hatter (10 East Ocean Ave, Sea Bright, NJ 07760) – they have gluten free pizza and gluten free pasta. I’ve never been.
Mama's & Cafe Baci (260 Mountain Ave, Hackettstown, NJ 07840) - I can't believe I missed this one on the first draft of this list. A great pizzeria/Italian restaurant with a good GF selection. They even have a GF/DF dessert option. (If you are only GF, check out their amazing dessert menu!) GFRAP.
Mangia Trattoria (918 Prospect Street, Glen Rock, NJ 07452) - I've never been here and they don't have a website but have heard lots of good things from others in the Northern NJ Celiac Disease Support Group.
(CLOSED)Manna (8409 Ventnor Avenue, Margate, NJ 08402) – GF items are flagged on their menu and there are quite a few of them. Dinner is tapas style (small plates to share) but there is also a small “large plate” menu (the only gf item is paella). [Sadly, nothing on their lunch or dessert menus is marked GF.] I haven’t been here yet. (update 1/12/12 - they're website states that they have lost their lease and are unsure when/where they will re-open. I'm leaving them listed for now as it appears they are actively searching for a new home.)
Martini Beach (429 Beach Ave. Cape May, NJ 08204) - has GF menu where non-gf items are crossed out. Dairy free might require a little extra work here.
Masina Trattoria Italiana (500 Harbor Boulevard, Weehawkin, NJ 07086) - I've never been here but their GF menu is quite sizable. .
McLoone’s Asbury Grille (1200 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712) – while they don’t have a gluten free menu they do state on their website that most menu items can be prepared gluten free and that they will work with you. Unsure of their ability to handle dairy free. I’ve never been. (Note: there are other McLoone’s restaurants across NJ and MD but the two listed here are the only ones that list gluten free.)
McLoone’s Rum Runner (816 Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright, NJ 07760) – flags the gluten friendly items on their menu and states they will work with you on other items. I’ve never been. (Note: there are other McLoone’s restaurants across NJ and MD but the two listed here are the only ones that list gluten free on their websites.)
Molino's Takeout Restaurant (219 South Main Street (Route 9), Cape May Court House, NJ 08204) - This takeout only Italian restaurant/pizzeria offers GF pasta for an extra $3. I've never been.
Mondello's (557 Englishtown Road, Monroe, NJ 08831) - They appear to have a decent sized Gluten Free menu which includes pasta, pizza and entrees. I have never been.
Organic4Life (401 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell, NJ 07006) – this restaurant is completely gluten free. They have four menus, one for each blood type diet (AB, B, A, and O). They have a number of vegan items on each menu and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even if you don’t follow the blood type diet the food looks really good. [Note: check their website/call them for hours, they appear to close at 7pm Mon-Wed.] Read my review of Organic4Life.
Panda Asian Fusion (335 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728) – claims 95% of their menu can be made gluten free. I’ve only ever had a gluten free egg roll there as a snack. See my review here: Panda Asian Fusion Review
Pandan Room (100 East Moore Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840) - They flag their menu G for gluten free and there are lots of options. Read all about the amazing food and restaurant here: Restaurant Review: Pandan Room (Hackettstown, NJ)
Park and Orchard (240 Hackensack Street, East Rutherford, NJ 07073) - I've been a couple of times. The decor and menu need a major update but there are a lot of options. GFRAP.
Pascarella Bros Delicatessen (34 Watchung Avenue, Chatham, NJ 07928) – According to their website they can make most sandwiches using gluten free bread, bagels, or wraps. I emailed them and the bread and bagels were DF as well (they were out of stock on the wraps so they weren't sure). I ate here recently and it was terrific, read the review here: Pascarella Bros Deli Review.
Pasta Pomodoro (700 Haddonfield-Berlin Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043) - A good sized GF menu including bread, pizza, pasta (unknown other allergens). I have never been. NFCA-GREAT.
Piccolo Trattoria (800 R. Denow Road, Pennington, NJ 08534 and two locations in PA). – They have GF pizza and they offer GF spaghetti for $2 more. I’ve never been.
Plantation Restaurant & Bar (7908 Long Beach Blvd, Harvey Cedars, NJ 08008) – There are a couple of GF options flagged on their dinner menu, but it does appear that dairy free might be a challenge here. Neither their lunch nor their vegetarian menus are flagged but a couple of the same dishes are gluten free on the dinner menu so that shouldn’t be an issue. I’ve never been.
Plum on Park (14 Park Street, Montclair, NJ 07042) - A small little breakfast and lunch place right off of Bloomfield Ave in Montclair. Their gluten free bread is also dairy free. Most sandwiches can be easily made GF/DF. For those only GF, they have french toast! Closed Sundays. I recently ate here and loved it! You can read my review here: Restaurant Review: Plum on Park
The Pop Shop (729 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108) – has gluten free bread (unknown other allergens). They have installed a gluten free fryer for gluten free fries and chicken fingers. They also have vegan cheese and vegan ice cream. I've never been.
Puzo’s Family Restaurant of Ridgewood (16 West Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450) – has both gluten free pasta and pizza.
Quahog's Seafood Shack (206 – 97th Street, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247) – A good number of the items on their menu are flagged gluten free. I haven’t been yet.
Red's Jersey Mex Café (11th Street and Haven Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226) – has an extensive gluten free Mexican menu. Dairy free may require some care. I haven’t been yet.
(CLOSED) River Cafe (517 River Drive, Garfield, NJ 07026) - This restaurant has closed, but see Riverside Brick Oven Pizza & Cafe below:
Riverside Brick Oven Pizza and Cafe (517 River Drive, Garfield, NJ 07026) - this new restaurant was opened by the owners/managers of La Piazzo in Little Falls in the same store front as the now closed River Cafe. I recently ate here and will be posting a review soon. They are still transitioning (training new staff, getting used to a smaller kitchen, etc) and for now only have gluten free pizza and gluten free pasta on the regular menu.
Rocca (203 Rock Road, Glen Rock, NJ 07452) Lists gluten free pasta.
Rudy’s Italian Restaurant (300 South Avenue, Garwood, NJ 07027) – Garwood location ONLY has gluten free menu. Menu offers pasta and many gluten friendly choices.
Rutherford Pancake House (40 Park Avenue, Rutherford, NJ 07070) - Their gluten free options are right on their regular menu and include pancakes/waffles, quesadillas, pizza, soups, and gluten free fries (made in a dedicated fryer). They also have quite a few dairy free and even vegan options as well. They even have Daiya cheese for dairy free Quesadillas and Pizza! Not open for dinner. Salute Bistro (173 Glenridge Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042) – has gf pizza and gf pasta both for an additional $3.
Scampi's Seafood Restaurant (198 West Main Street, Somerville, NJ 08876) – pretty nice gf menu, lots of grilled and broiled entrees but the also have pasta and rolls for an additional charge.
Seaglass Bar (Dune Drive & 78th Street, Avalon, NJ 08202). Has a gluten free menu. I’ve never been.
Serpico's (307 Main Street, Allenhurst, NJ 07711) - has a gluten free menu with pizza and pasta. Dairy free is fairly tough, but they do offer a gf/df brownie and pasta with garlic and olive oil.
Shanghai Jazz (23 Main Street, Madison, NJ 07940) - They don't have a dedicated menu but they can make almost anything on the menu anyway you like and owner is always there (he handles the special orders). They have wheat free soy sauce (Tamari Sauce). I love this place.
Spoon & Sprout Café (378 South Branch Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844. This vegetarian café states that they have both gluten free and vegan options on their menu. However, the only item on the online menu flagged as gluten free is the Apple Crisp and nothing is flagged as vegan. From reading the items, there do appear to be a number of dishes that should be naturally gluten free and easily made vegan.
Stage House Tavern (1719 Amwell Road, Somerset, NJ 08873) – flags their gluten friendly items on their menu. I haven’t been.

Stefano’s Ristorante Italiano (3815 Church Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08053) - Has GF pasta and pizza, states on website can make almost anything GF.
Sun Tavern (15 South Ave, Fanwood, NJ 07023) – has gluten free ravioli (dairy) and gluten free gnocchi (unknown). I haven’t been for dinner.
A Taste of Asia (345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928) - I've never been and they don't have their Gluten Free menu online.
Temple Gourmet Chinese (91 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701) – a little blue square on the online menu denotes gluten free. I haven't been yet.
The Tortilla Press (703 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108) - They have a good sized GF menu including corn tortillas. I have never been. They have a second location called the Tortilla Press Cantina (7716 Maple Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ 08109).
Tre Amici (628 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740) – has gluten free pasta. I’ve never been.
T.S. Ma (199 Bellevue Avenue, Upper Montclair, NJ 07042) - has wheat free soy sauce. I recently ate here with friends and will be posting a review soon.
Tutti Toscini (1491 Brace Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034) - has GF pasta for $1 more.
Umburto Italian Restaurant (583 River Rd, Fair Haven, NJ 07704) - has gf pasta and pizza. I haven’t been yet.
Vesuvio’s (221 Millstone Road, Perrineville, NJ 08535) – has a gf section to their menu including gf pizza, gf pasta and naturally gf entrees (grill chicken parm, etc.) I’ve never been.
Via 45 (45 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701) They don't appear to have a website and they change their menu daily. They look very accommodating to dietary concerns. I haven't been yet.
Via Roma (2360 Lakewood Road, Toms River, NJ 08755) - One of the best Gluten Free/Dairy Free menus I've seen. They even have Vegan items as well. According to the website, they use Daiya non-dairy cheese. Can't wait to try this one! GFRAP. NFCA-GREAT.
Washington Inn (801 Washington Street, Cape May, NJ 08204) GF flagged on menu, DF might be a bit of a challenge here.
Wildflower Earthly Vegan Fare (501 N. High St. / Village on High, Millville, NJ 08332) – Another cool looking vegan restaurant. Their menu changes weekly and they clearly flag their gluten free options. Last week’s GF highlight? Gluten Free Jersey Fresh Apple Pie! Millville is really far away for me but it might be worth the drive!
Za Restaurant (147 West Delaware Avenue, Pennington, NJ 08534) – They flag their GF options on their menu as well as their vegetarian dishes. Their soy sauce is not gluten free.
Near NJ, but over the border into NY State:
97lake (97 Lake Street, West Harrison, NY 10604) - An amazing variety of GF options in a restaurant with a GF kitchen (the gluten containing buns are brought in, everything else made in house! See my review: Gluten Free at 97lake!

Halstead Avenue Bistro in Harrison NY 10528 - I've never been.

Maud's Tavern in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706 - I've never been.
(CLOSED) Ray's Cafe (Rye, NY 10573) - Gluten Free Chinese with a sizable menu. I like to stop here whenever I'm in the area for lunch/dinner and then some takeout as well! They don't seem to have a website but a partial menu is here: http://www.gfdelights.com/menu.php?rid=289
Near NJ, but over the border into PA:
A reader reported that all dining options at Shawnee Mountain have gluten free options. There is no online menu but she mentioned buns, chicken nuggets, pizza, etc.
