Happy Celiac Awareness Month everyone!
I'm looking forward to lots of great events this month: Celiac Awareness Night with the NY Mets on Friday, the Suffolk County GF Vendor Fair this weekend, , a gluten free tasting at a local store and two different gluten free / celiac support group meetings (the second is on my birthday!) All these and more are on my Gluten Free NJ Event List.
May also brings the GIG's (Gluten Intolerance Group) Chef-to-Plate Campaign! Every year the GIG asks restaurants to volunteer in helping to spread awareness of Celiac Disease by posting gluten free information in their restaurant. This year's Gluten Free New Jersey Restaurants are:

There's also Food Allergy Awareness Week (May 13 - May 19) which I will be participating in to bring awareness for those with severe food allergies - my daughter included.
